New paper: Social attitudes towards climate interventions: Are European publics uninformed about carbon removal and solar radiation management?
Co-authored by Ramit Debnath in the Environmental Science & Policy journal.
Ramit says:
"Our survey + focus group research across 5 European countries (Austria, Germany, Italy, Norway, UK) and 5000+ people shows: public views on crucial emerging climate tech like carbon removal and solar radiation management (SRM) are diverse. Levels of familiarity, trust, and support vary significantly.
We find that stated knowledge influences views, but crucially, the diversity of opinions demands inclusive policymaking. Communicating with and co-designing with the public is vital. ? "
