Alexandra (Sasha) Turchyn

Alexandra (Sasha) Turchyn is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences. Her field is analytical isotope geochemistry and she studies how carbon moves through environmental systems, using a combination of fieldwork, laboratory measurements, experiments, and modelling. 

Sasha works with with John Taylor, Jago Strong-Wright and Zhenna Azimrayat-Andrews to study the rate of biomass growth and carbon export of kelp.
