Real Ice

Real Ice is a UK-based start up focused on restoring and preserving Arctic sea ice. Founded around 2019 as an initiative from The Siku Project discussions and formalised into a company in 2022, Real Ice has garnered global attention - featuring in initiatives like Hyundai and UNDP’s For Tomorrow campaign - for its innovative approach to Arctic ecosystem restoration. The organisation collaborates with scientists, engineers and indigenous communities to develop scalable, restorative systems designed to counteract sea ice melt driven by climate change.
