Rishul Karia

I completed my first masters in Maths and Physics at Warwick in 2022 and my second here at Cambridge as part of the inaugural Quantitative Climate and Environmental Sciences (QCES) cohort in 2025.

My PhD is a collaboration between the Engineering and Chemistry departments, particularly focusing on the development and deployment of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technologies for large-scale removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The project aims to identify and evaluate effective DAC production pathways that are technically feasible, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable.
