Siddhartha Bishnu
Dr. Siddhartha Bishnu (Sid) is a Rokos Girton Research Fellow in Climate Repair. He is based at the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Cambridge and is working with Dr. Ali Mashayek and Professor John Taylor. He graduated with dual MS degrees in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Physical Oceanography, and a PhD in Computational Science, all from Florida State University.
Sid's research focuses on novel numerical methods, computational fluid dynamics, and climate modeling. Prior to joining the University of Cambridge, he held postdoctoral positions at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he worked on scientific computing projects and ocean model development.
At the Centre for Climate Repair (CCR), he will be contributing to the improvement of ocean mixing and sea-ice parameterizations and investigating the impact of sea-ice variability on ocean circulation.
